Q.
Can I borrow a wheelchair to use at the airport?
A.
Wheelchairs and strollers can be borrowed free of charge at any of the information counters in the passenger terminals. When finished, please return them to the nearest information counter. This service is available to arriving passengers after completion of inbound passport control and Customs procedures.

Please contact your airline for information on services provided by that carrier.

Q.
I have a pacemaker. Does this pose any problem to the security check?
A.
Please inform the staff on duty at the security checkpoint. Security screening will be performed by a security personnel of your gender without the use of metal detectors.

What kind of security checks will I have to undergo if I have metal implants that cannot be removed?
A.
Please inform the staff on duty at the security checkpoint. Security screening will be performed by hand without the use of metal detectors.
If you have a doctor's note or other medical certificates, please bring them with you. Showing the certificates will ensure that you receive inspections smoothly.

Q.
What kind of services do the airlines provide for people with disabilities and special needs?
A.
Requests for use of wheelchairs and special meals are taken during air ticket reservations and services are provided accordingly.
The services available may vary according to your airline or destination. Please check with your respective airlines when making your reservations.

Are there any services for help in getting around the airport and in completing procedures?
A.
Airport and airline staff are happy to offer help. Please feel free to ask for assistance.

Are there any facilities in the terminals where users can lie down for a rest?
A.
Dayrooms are provided for passengers wishing to take a quick nap. The facility is only available for use by passengers who have completed outbound passport control or are waiting for an international transit flight. Advanced reservations are accepted over the Internet.
* There are no dayrooms or showers in Terminal 3.

There are first-aid rooms in the terminal buildings used exclusively for passengers who have been taken ill. Please ask at the nearest information counter or inform an airline staff if you wish to use room as it is normally locked. A staff member will take you to the room.



Q.
Is it possible to have my baggage delivered to the airport from my lodging in Japan?
A.
Baggage can be sent from your lodging to the departure lobby before you leave. Baggage can also be sent to your lodging on arriving at the airport from the delivery company counters in the arrival lobby. Using a delivery service for your heavy baggage will relieve you of much inconvenience and help you enjoy the trip. For further details, please check the Baggage Service section.
* There is no baggage delivery service in Terminal 3. Please use those in Terminal 2.
