Automated external defibrillators (AED) are available in the terminals for emergencies.
* AEDs automatically detect the presence or absence of ventricular fibrillation (an abnormal heart rhythm that causes death) from electrocardiograms obtained by attaching electrode pads to the chest of a victim suffering a cardiac arrest and then administers an electric shock if the heart is in ventricular fibrillation.
