Connections from domestic to international flights

Narita Airport has domestic terminals in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Domestic flights


If you arrive in Terminal 1 on a domestic flights
 For international departures from Terminal 1:
On arriving, please proceed to the international departure lobby on the 4th floor.

We also have a faster, more convenient rapid transit system for connections from domestic to international flights.
(Please inquire at your airline for information on conditions for use of rapid transit system.)
 For international departures from Terminal 2:
On arriving, please proceed to the bus stops on the 1st floor and take the Terminal Shuttle Bus to Terminal 2.

If you arrive in Terminal 2 on a domestic flight
 For international departures from Terminal 1:
On arriving, please proceed to the bus stops on the 1st floor and take the Terminal Shuttle Bus to Terminal 1.
 For international departures from Terminal 2:
On arriving, please proceed to the international departure lobby on the 3rd floor.

*Domestic sectors on international flights

Flights operating on domestic sectors are considered to be international flights when passengers are subject to passport control procedures outside of Narita Airport (at Kansai and Central Japan international airports). About Connections between international flight

Going Outside the Airport

Once Immigration and Customs procedures are complete, passengers arriving on international flights transferring on to domestic flights are free to leave the airport or meet friends while waiting for their connection.
