From Tuesday, 1 December 2009, the size of the baggage that can be taken on board aircraft on domestic services will be standardized for all Japanese airlines.

In conjunction with this change, a gauge will be installed on the baggage screening equipment so that baggage exceeding the prescribed dimensions cannot be screened.

Baggage that exceeds the prescribed size must be checked in before proceeding to the security checkpoint.
