When departing Narita and connecting at an overseas airport on your way to another overseas airport

Security screening is also required at your connecting airport.

If you are departing Narita Airport and traveling to your overseas destination via another airport outside of Japan, you may be required to undergo a security screening at your connecting airport.

Please be aware that rules for carry-on items differ from country to country.

When departing Narita Airport on an international flight, the Japan Restrictions on Carry-on Liquids apply. However, when connecting at an overseas airport, the restrictions on carry-on liquids for the country in which you are connecting will apply.

When departing Narita Airport on an international flight, the Japan Restrictions on Carry-on Liquids will be applied.
Total capacities of containers must not exceed 1 liter (1000 ml)

Carry-on items other than liquids will also be screened.

At your overseas airport, carry-on items will be screened according to the criteria of that country.
