From International to International Flights
When arriving at Narita on an international flight and departing for an overseas airport
Due to variations in security screening criteria in Japan and other countries, passengers connecting at Narita Airport are basically required to undergo security screening , even if they have already been screened at previous airport.
Please be aware that are restrictions on carry-on liquids.
Restrictions on Carry-on Liquids will be applied at the screening areas for international flights.
See the figure at right for quantities of liquids permitted on board the aircraft.

Note: If you are carrying liquids in excess of the permitted quantities, you will have to voluntarily dispose of them at the security check for transit passengers,
even if the liquids are liquors, perfumes or other duty-free items purchased in the duty-free area of the airport from which you departed.

What about liquors, perfumes and other duty-free items?
The carry-on liquid restrictions also apply to liquors, perfumes and other duty-free items.
If Narita is your last transiting airport, you can purchase any products with quantities exceeding 100ml(g) at the duty-free area in Narita.Otherwise please purchase any products with quantities exceeding 100ml(g) at the duty-free area of the airport in which you will undergo your final transit security screening.

Carry-on items other than liquids will also screened
Checks are also conducted for prohibited items other than liquids in carry-on baggage at the security checkpoint for transit passengers.
