Through the Sustainable NRT Promotion Council, the NAA Group is committed to strengthening airport-wide initiatives to reduce plastic waste.
Usage of paper straw
Plastic straws are replaced 100% with paper straws from September 2019 in restaurants and lounges directly operated by NAA Group (5 stores in total).
Shopping bags containing biomass plastic
At NAA-operated stores, the NAA Group company NAA Retailing Co., Ltd. has introduced plastic shopping bags made from biomass-based materials (containing 40% plastic), along with biodegradable polymer bags at some locations.

Usage of 100% recycled PET bottles
PET bottles used for "Ku-Sui," a private-brand product water by Greenport Agency Co., Ltd., use 100% recycled materials for the PET bottles. Further, biomass plastic materials are included 30% for the caps. The label is a thin type, and biomass ink is used for printing.
Packing materials are changed to paper materials
Materials used for the packing of calendars published every year by our company (Narita International Airport Corporation) are changed from plastics to paper.
