Details of airport notificationNotice Regarding Mandatory Security Screening in Accordance with Amendments to Civil Aeronautics Act
With the revision of the Civil Aeronautics Act, it will become mandatory to undergo a security check from March 10 2022.
Trespassing beyond security checkpoints without undergoing security screening is a violation of the Civil Aeronautics Act which may result in imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of up to 500,000 JPY. Security screening is conducted in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, please follow the instructions of security screeners or related personnel.
Screening may take some time during busy periods so please ensure that you arrive at Narita Airport with sufficient time to spare.
