Japanese Cultural Experience Through Origami !
The Narita Airport CS Council will hold an event in which customers departing from Japan can take part in a cultural experience through origami.
As a means of incorporating their gratitude to our customers and their best wishes for a safe flight, airport staff will distribute "tree paper"*1 made from felled timber and "origami cranes", which are made from folded paper in Japanese patterns as gifts, and offer customers the fun-filled opportunity of making their own origami. Corners will be set up where customers can take home origami made by airport staff.
In addition, photo opportunity corners with origami cranes made by airport businesses and the TEAM EXPO 2025 Origami JAPAN Executive Committee*2 will be available for about one month from the opening of the event. Please refer below for more details.
*1 The upcycling of trees felled by the capacity enhancement project at Narita Airport to make origami and other original goods from Narita Airport. Each piece has a different grain and color, and the rich aroma of cedar.
*2 An organization that aims for "creativity linking people and communities in various circumstances" through the making of paper cranes at TEAM EXPO 2025,a participatory program for Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
