This page provides information on how to connect from an international to domestic flight. To connect to a domestic flight, passengers are required to undergo immigration procedures at the terminal where they arrived on an international flight.
1.Go to the departure terminal
If the terminal you arrived at on an international flight is not the terminal you will depart from on a domestic flight, please use a shuttle bus to travel between the terminals.
Terminals for arrivals and departures differ from airline to airline. Please check at the following in advance.
You can check the terminals for the arrival and departure on the date of flight on the flight information page.
Passengers arriving at Terminal 1
If you will depart from Terminal 1, go from the international arrival lobby (1F) to the domestic check-in counter (1F).
To get to Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, take a shuttle bus from Bus Stop No. 6 (1F).
Passengers arriving at Terminal 2
If you will depart from Terminal 2, go from the international arrival lobby (1F) to the domestic check-in counter (1F).
To get to Terminal 1, take a shuttle bus at Bus Stop No. 8 or Bus Stop No. 18 (1F).
To get to Terminal 3, use the access corridor. You can also take a shuttle bus.
Passengers arriving at Terminal 3
To get to Terminal 1, follow the guide sign and proceed from the arrival lobby (1F), and take a shuttle bus.
To get to Terminal 2, use the access corridor. You can also take a shuttle bus.
If you will depart from Terminal 3, proceed from the arrival lobby (1F) to the domestic check-in counter (2F).
3.Security screening
If you are departing from a country other than Japan, entering Japan via Narita Airport and connecting to a domestic flight, you will be required to temporarily enter the Public Area. Therefore, you must undergo additional screening before boarding your domestic flight.
After domestic check-in, proceed by following the "Domestic Departure" guide sign. To prevent hijacking and other hazards, baggage inspection and body check are conducted.
4.While waiting for your connecting flight

5.Meeting & going out during layover
Passengers arriving on international flights and connecting to domestic flights may meet friends or leave the terminal building until their flight is ready to board as long as they have completed immigration procedures. However, please come back well in advance as the security checkpoints could become congested.
